Multi-talented Designer

Cheers to a new day and a new artist! Today I’d like to introduce you to a graphic designer named Kelli Anderson. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, constantly creating art that doesn’t “behave as expected” (Anderson). She loves creating abstract designs with both additive and subtractive color themes. You can see some of her designs on her Instagram, which really gives you a feel for her M.O.

I really like both of her designs to the left and right, because of how she used negative space to her advantage. That paired with her grayscale scheme, is why she ended up creating a unique, visually compelling aesthetic. Both designs compliment each other through movement, color, and asymmetry, which makes them
similar, yet different. I love how they captivate me as I look at them.

The other interesting aspect about Kelli’s work is that she doesn’t always create traditional pieces. She also helps design things like resumes, invitations, and wrapping paper, etc. You can see in her work that she takes typefaces and grids very seriously. This is what also makes Kelli a very inspirational, dynamic artist. Should you need more inspiration from another multi-talented artist, click here to read about Dana Tanamachi.
